PhD Topics

For its 2009/10 intake of postgraduate research students, the Faculty of Arts is particularly keen to receive applications addressing the topics listed below. Topics are grouped by Research Institute (RI) and the appropriate RAE Unit of Assessment (UoA). For each topic the campus base is indicated. Applicants should indicate the research area or project they wish to be considered for. Applicants are also encouraged to contact the supervisor(s) associated with particular projects and research areas before applying.
