[22 - 25 June '09] 'The Third International Conference on the Ulster Cycle'
This international conference devoted to the Ulster Cycle of tales will be held at the University of Ulster, Coleraine, from 22 - 25 June 2009. The conference will be hosted by the University's Research Institute for Irish and Celtic Studies. In addition to the academic programme, a number of social events are planned, including a tour of some ancient and historic sites in Ulster.

Chuan gu Cuan: Scottish Gaelic in a Canadian context'
Conference Friday 27 April 2007: Belfast
Campus 10:00 - 5:30. This interdisciplinary conference will
examine various facets of the Scottish Gaelic presence in
Canada, from the late 18th century immigrations through the
high-point of the 19th century Canadian Gaidhealtachd on to
the present-day state of the Gaelic language as it survives
principally in Cape Breton Island with its attendant traditions
of song and story-telling.

[18-19 Sept '08] 'Celto-Slavica
Colloquium'
The next Celto-Slavica colloquium will
take place in Dubrovnik(Republika Hrvatska) between 18-19
September 2008 at the Inter-University Centre. The colloquium
will be preceded by a three days workshop / postgraduate course
"New perspectives on Medieval Celtic Prose", with
Kim McCone, Hildegard Tristram, Stefan Zimmer and Ruairi O'
hUiginn as plenary speakers.

Symposia

May '07] 'CELTO - INDICA International Symposium'
The International Symposium on Sacred Topology in Early Ireland
and India and the Launch of the Indo-Irish Literary and Philological
Society will take place at the University of Ulster, Coleraine,
between 20-22 May 2007. The official opening of the symposium
will be convened in the Bannview Room at 7.30 pm, Sunday,
20 May 2007. The lectures will take place in the Court Room,
from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday, 21 May 2007. The lectures
will be delivered by specialists from Jawaharlal Nehru University
(New Delhi, India), Institute of Oriental Studies (Moscow,
Russia), UCD (Dublin, Ireland) as well as by members of the
Research Institute for Irish and Celtic Studies.
