RAE 2008 Results
The Academy for Irish Cultural Heritages is delighted with results of RAE 2008. The Academy was established with SPUR funding in 2000 with the aim of enhancing the research profile in Celtic Studies, History and English.
It has more than achieved its goal in this regard with the three UoAs performing exceptionally well in this RAE, scoring internationally excellent ratings (3*/4*) of, respectively, 75%, 55% and 35%. The Academy also contributed to a number of other UoAs, both in Arts – including French and Music – and in other Faculties, including Art and Design, which has maintained its leading position in the UK with 45% of its work rated internationally excellent, and Politics, which has shown a remarkable improvement since the last RAE, with 35% internationally excellent research.
Heartfelt congratulations and thanks to all staff involved.
