The BA (Hons) Drama is an industry-relevant programme that focuses on contemporary performance practice. Students are encouraged to explore theoretical concepts through practice, and to reflect upon practice in their study of performance theory. Students choose from a range of options including Directing, Acting, Playwriting, Avant Garde performance, Irish Theatre, Arts Entrepreneurship, Educational Arts, and Music Theatre. All students are assigned to a Studies Adviser in first year, who offers advice and academic support. Our graduates have wide range of transferable skills, and are highly employable. Some go on to post-graduate study at universities and drama schools across Ireland and the UK in performance research, community theatre, acting, musical theatre and directing. Some go into teaching and some work in the creative industries.
