American Studies

The degree is available in either a three-year or four-year mode. It can be taken in combination with one of a number of subjects on the Magee campus; you can combine American Studies with subjects as diverse as, to give you a few examples, Dance, Drama, French, International Politics, Irish, Irish History, Music, or Spanish. Each of those combinations will allow you to develop, alongside broad expertise in your chosen subject, an interest in a unique area of specialisation; thus, students combining American Studies with International Politics will be able to develop a detailed understanding of the political mechanisms shaping the life of both North and South America.
