Cluster Co-ordinator: Prof Don MacRaild

The History Research Cluster supports research in History. It provides financial support for visits to archives and libraries, for conferences, and in some cases for replacement teaching whilst research projects are brought to fruition. It encourages the development of a group research culture through hosting a staff and visiting research seminar. It involves postgraduate students in the full range of its seminar and outreach activities. Individual and group research grant applications are promoted and vetted by the Cluster to ensure appropriate internal peer review. Finally, each member engages in an annual review of their research career with the Cluster Head.
